Old Art

Here's some older art of mine (some going back to over a year ago), just to show some pieces that I'm still fond of.
A couple of my original characters Bug (the little one) and Warlock. They're goat-boar-dog demon things.

This page and the next three are from my entry into the first annual O'Keefe comic contest at DVC last year. I got an honorable mention. :)

It's a Hercules beetle!

A friend's request- draw our entire group as llamas. I'm the right one of the two middle llamas.
Another friend's request- herself and her boyfriend.

A group shot of some characters of mine. The dragons at the top from left to right: Dusty, Phil, Ollie. The two humanoids at the bottom are Dwayne (left) and Zach (right).

You might recognize this from my profile image. My friend Jon and I created this creature a year or so ago-- the magical Bearbow. It's what's at the end of the rainbow. So don't go there.

Some hand studies. HANDS ARE HARD.

An oil painting of Kevin from Pixar's Up. I had a limited color palette.

A sketch of my dragon character Dusty.

My dragon character Phil

Friend's request- she wanted a "special" giraffe. :P

Spider-Man's Venom-- He's so fun to draw.

My dragon character Ollie

My dragon character Dusty having a lovely flight.

Gerald's Walk

Edit: I finally got a Quicktime version of my animation.

For some reason, my Flash program at home won't let me convert my swf file to a Quicktime, which means I can't post it here.
I did post it on my deviantART page, though, so please check it out HERE.

The Evolution of Gerald

My crotchety old man "Gerald" in all his character-developing glory! (My scanner unfortunately chopped off some bits of a couple images-- the woes of having a huge sketchpad and only a medium-sized scanner.)

Flour Sack Drop

While I'm happy with the drop, I know that the slide off is jacked up, haha. It needed more fold on the top part to make it work. I'll hopefully find the time to go back and tweak it more sometime-- it'll be a matter of adding some new images in.

 EDIT:
Here's my updated flour sack drop. I think it's a little improved.

Paper Drop

I spent what seemed like forever on this animation, trying to get it just right. It's not perfect, but I'm still pleased with it.

FEED ME

Myself as a half-plant creature. And yes, that is a Little Shop of Horrors reference.

Flintstones!

Our homework assignment was to draw ourselves as a Flintstone character. I also Dino-fied my dog Roady.

I am HORRIFIED

My face when I realized that the pendulum animation is due on Thursday (also our assignment was to draw ourselves horrified).

Toy-Inspired Characters

We had a really fun assignment in which we borrowed action-figures and created our own characters out of them.

Munsters and the Great Pumpkin

We've had some Halloween-themed homework assignments lately.

We drew the Munsters as anyone/in any style we wanted; we had to choose one character to turn into ourselves, though.

We also had to draw what we thought the Great Pumpkin looked like from the Charlie Brown Halloween special. I had a lot of fun with this one.

More of Me

 As a disco dancer!

As an Ed Edd n' Eddy character!

Give Me a Hand!

Last class, we focused on drawing hands. Drawing hands while listening to disco music. It was a good class. :D

First, we had to draw our own hands.

 Then a partner's hands.

Then we hand to turn their hands into cartoon hands.

Baby Me

Me as a baby. This was a surprisingly fun assignment. :)
